Your accommodations: This is how atmospheric you live
Chanya Lodge is nestled amidst a beautiful, lush garden on the outskirts of Moshi, at the foot of mighty Kilimanjaro. The traditional decor offers a small window into Tanzanian culture, and the open-air restaurant also serves Tanzanian cuisine. The bar offers cool drinks, and the pool invites you to take a refreshing dip.
The Lawns Hotel, now over 100 years old and run by the third generation of the Nikitas family, is located on a hilltop, surrounded by green lawns, flowers, and trees, overlooking the Lushoto community. Colonial charm is combined with modern amenities in the rooms, which feature wooden interiors and fireplaces.
With only six safari tents, Mkomazi View Camp offers a personal atmosphere. The safari camp is located in the northwest of Mkomazi National Park, surrounded by rolling hills overlooking the Watershed Valley, a popular spot for eland, giraffe, and elephants. Your tent has a private deck and an outdoor shower. Enjoy being so close to the wild!
Between Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru lies an extraordinary eco-lodge: the Masai-run Osiligilai Maasai Lodge. It combines accommodation with cultural encounters. Enjoy a pool, a sauna, and traditionally designed bungalows, as well as exciting activities with the Masai!
On the southern shore of alkaline Lake Natron, Lake Natron Tented Camp welcomes you to a unique landscape. The rustic safari tents and chalets feature private verandas – perfect for enjoying the scenery! Dinner is served by candlelight in the restaurant in the evening, and your group gathers around the campfire to end the day.
Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge blends style, comfort, and a prime location in the heart of the Serengeti. Each spacious tented suite features a private veranda with breathtaking views across the savannah. Inside, you’ll find cozy beds, a luxurious en-suite bathroom, and elegant African décor. After an exhilarating game drive, relax by the infinity pool or sip a sundowner while watching wildlife roam nearby. Meals are served under canvas or out in the open, offering a truly immersive safari atmosphere.
In the midst of the wilderness, surrounded by nothing but nature, you’ll stay in luxurious safari tents at the mobile Angata Camp. Your tent features all the necessary amenities—including a private bathroom and terrace. A freshly cooked meal is served every evening in the communal tent, after which the group gathers around a crackling campfire.
On the eastern rim of the Ngorongo Crater, you’ll stay at Angata Ngorongoro Camp—a prime starting point for game drives in the wildlife-rich crater! The camp consists of just eight safari tents, plus a lounge and a tent where delicious meals are served. Your tent has a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, and, of course, a comfortable bed.
At Angata Tarangire Camp, the name says it all: this safari accommodation welcomes you in the heart of Tarangire National Park, along the Tarangire River and with panoramic views of Tarangire Mountain! Your cozy house tents are located not far from the Silale Swamp, an important refuge for animal species of all kinds, especially during the dry season.
Surrounded by 40 hectares of coffee plantation, you’ll stay in rustic, thatched cottages with private terraces. A tropical garden with a pool and a vegetable garden are also part of the Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge, located 7 km outside of Arusha. Enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Meru and the cozy atmosphere by the fireplace in the evenings.
