Tour Overview:

This brief excursion is tailor-made for those seeking a quick adventure within the renowned Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park, and Tarangire National Park. You will embark on a midrange fly-in tour from Zanzibar, immersing yourself in the rich wildlife of the Northern circuit parks while enjoying comfortable, upscale accommodations. Following the journey, you’ll return to Zanzibar via a convenient flight.


Itinerary Day By Day:

Day 1: Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

In the early morning, you will transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to Zanzibar Airport for your flight. You’ll board a small plane heading to Serengeti National Park’s Seronera Airstrip. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, your day will kick off with morning game drives that extend into the afternoon. After a picnic lunch, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, continuing until sunset. Your night will be one of comfort midrange at Into Wild Serengeti Camp.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Following an early breakfast, your morning will be dedicated to a game drive across various parts of the renowned Serengeti. In the afternoon, you’ll savor a picnic lunch before setting off on a journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon reaching the Ngorongoro Highlands, you’ll be welcomed by the splendid view of Ngorongoro Crater from the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. You’ll then settle in for the night at the lodge, preparing for an exhilarating morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

Following an early breakfast, you’ll make your descent into the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to the Big Five and various other wildlife, including hyenas. In the afternoon, a picnic lunch awaits you, followed by another exciting game drive as you ascend to the crater rim.

Subsequently, you’ll journey to Karatu, have dinner, and have an overnight stay at the Marera Mountain View.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your Karatu lodge. You’ll embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park via a well-maintained tarmac road that traverses gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. From the open roof of your state-of-the-art safari jeep, you’ll have the opportunity to witness tree-climbing lions and an array of bird species.

The park is teeming with diverse wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes, among others. Keep an eye out for lions on the prowl and leopards relaxing on the treetops.

Following your adventure, you’ll head to one of our carefully chosen midrange partner lodges, where you’ll enjoy dinner in an elegant restaurant. You’ll also have access to a refreshing pool for relaxation. Your comfortable accommodation for the night will be at the Marera Mountain View.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park to Zanzibar

In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your lodge, and you’ll head out towards Tarangire National Park via a well-maintained tarmac road, meandering through the picturesque Maasai plains adorned with scattered acacia trees. As you traverse the terrain in your state-of-the-art safari jeep with an open roof, you’ll immerse yourself in the varying landscapes, including seasonal swamps, savannahs, and the life-giving Tarangire River.

During your exploration, you’ll encounter a rich array of wildlife, from zebras and wildebeests to buffalos, elephants, and giraffes, among others. Keep a keen eye out for lions on the hunt or leopards lounging in the treetops.

Following the safari, you’ll return to Arusha Airport, where you’ll catch your flight back to Zanzibar.

Details

This morning you will travel to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area.
