Highlights of Tanzania and Kenya at a relaxed pace

Out of Africa

At Karen Blixen Camp in the heart of the Masai Mara, you’ll fall under the spell of Africa just as the famous author once did. Led by a German-speaking ranger, you’ll embark on extensive off-road tours into the wildlife-rich Mara Triangle and through the Mara North Conservancy, offering excellent opportunities to observe the legendary big game migration! A hot air balloon ride including a champagne breakfast is also available.

Serengeti de Luxe

Whether in the heart of the Masai Mara, in the northern and central Serengeti, right on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater or at Tarangire National Park – you will stay in hand-picked safari camps that combine comfort with elegance, outstanding service and excellent full board.

Travel at a relaxed pace

With typically two nights per stop, you’ll travel at a relaxed pace and have plenty of time between safaris to enjoy the ambiance of the lodges. From Nairobi, you’ll fly directly to the Masai Mara by light aircraft. From there, you’ll travel in an all-terrain safari vehicle with a pop-up roof and a window seat for each member of your group of six.

At Mountain-Warriors , every route is crafted with utmost care, attention to detail, and personally tested in the field. Your tour guide in Tanzania & Kenya

Throughout your journey from the Masai Mara to Arusha, you will be accompanied by knowledgeable German-speaking tour guides. Our guides are native East Africans and will guide you through their homeland with great dedication.

Best time to travel to Tanzania & Kenya

Tanzania and Kenya have a tropical climate. It is warm year-round. In the higher elevations (e.g., the Serengeti at 900–1,850 m), temperatures range from 21–26°C during the day, dropping significantly at night. On the coasts, temperatures reach approximately 30°C. The rainy season is from mid-March to May. We recommend June–March as the best time to travel.

Your itinerary: Fascinating impressions day after day

Off to East Africa!
Your journey to safari paradise begins! You can arrange your own travel to Frankfurt Airport – you can also book a Rail & Fly ticket for your journey with Deutsche Bahn. Your flight with Qatar Airways to Doha departs in the afternoon. From there, you’ll continue on to Nairobi, Kenya. Herds of wildebeest and zebra on the Mara River
Getting up early is worth it: You’ll embark on a full-day 4×4 safari into the so-called Mara Triangle! The area between the Mara River and the Oloololo Escarpment is considered the Masai Mara’s best-kept secret… Between July and October, you have the best chance of spotting the legendary big game migration here. Our tip: You can optionally start the day a little earlier with a hot-air balloon ride over the Mara Triangle and a champagne breakfast (optional, €500 per person)!

Nocturnal animals in the spotlight

Today, you’ll explore the Mara North Conservancy, where few other vehicles travel. Many lions, as well as cheetahs, leopards, and even some of the rare wild dogs, call this area home. During a visit to a Masai village, you’ll learn about their way of life. After lunch and a siesta, you’ll head out on another safari in the soft afternoon light, into the sunset and even into the darkness! Headlamps help you spot nocturnal animals.

Goodbye, beautiful wilderness!
With a heavy heart, you’ll leave the wilderness and head to the airport in Arusha. Perhaps you’ll catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro, often shrouded in clouds, before boarding your Qatar Airways flight home via Doha. Our tip: Stay a little longer in Tanzania and travel to the spice island of Zanzibar for a wonderfully relaxing end to your trip!
